The 2 center punches are for starting/marking such as for drilling a hole (Any application for drilling in metal. wood, concrete, plastic). The starter punch is for starting a hole such as in wood, sheetrock. It can also be used to set larger size finish nails. The cold chisels are for use on taking out softer chunks of metal. I think I have used them for removing rivets on cars, hacksawing then finish cutting a bolt with cold chisel and brass nuts, as slag removal, also chipping away at cement.

The pin punches are normally misused and the operator calls them cheap because they bent from misuse. They are normally for removing drift pins.

China has found a way to make a quality chunk of steel. So you will be happy with this set. Every piece has other uses that I have missed. Just do not misuse the pin punches because they will bend. Snapon and Blue Point pin punches will also bend with misuse. So not a China thing.

Super deal...may not be the best tool steel, but still an excellent value. CCC shows lowest price 0f $20.82. I'm in for two sets.

Lifetime warranty is all that matters in for a set

FYI, it's OOS but still let's you add to cart & ship once available.

I ended up ordering a 3 pc Stanley wood chisel set instead since I don't need punches. It's not a low price deal but is well rated vs the set in this deal which has no reviews.
