Amazon has the PS4 pro for $349.99 ($50 off) and you get an additional $50 off by trading in an old video game. I used the $5 Redbox game deal and traded it in. Discount applies in cart. Slick deal indeed!

How to get the $50.00 promotional credit for a PS4 Pro INSTANTLY (YMMV):

1. Open the trade-in offer page -- in an incognito window through Chrome or equivalent (not absolutely necessary, but the instant payment option is more likely to show up this way):
https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Tra...B01LOP8EZC

2. Search for your item using the search bar at the top of the page, or use one of the search category boxes at the bottom.

3. Confirm the condition of the item(s) you're trading in.

4. On the final confirmation page -- before you click "Confirm Trade-In" -- you should see 2 notifications:
"Congratulations! Limited Time Offer: Once your trade-in is reviewed and accepted, an Amazon Gift Card plus a $50 promotional credit for a new PS4 Pro 1TB Console will be added to your Amazon account."
AND
"Instant Payment options - 1 item(s) in your Trade-In List is eligible for an Instant Payment. Get paid now and start shopping: $X.XX"

5. Choose the instant payment option (it should already be selected). What this essentially means is that you agree to be charged $X.XX for the value of the trade-in should you cancel it, or if it's rejected once it's received. In other words, you are getting an Amazon gift card one way or another -- as a result of either a) your trade-in being sent in and accepted, or b) your credit card being charged.

Instant Payment
Items that are eligible for Instant Payment are paid instantly after the Trade-In order has been confirmed. In order to avoid charges to your credit card, you will need to ship your items on time, and ensure that they meet the submitted conditions.

By choosing the instant payment option, you will receive the $50.00 promotional credit instantly vs. having to wait for your trade-in to be processed.

Good to know:
- The "Instant Payment" option may not be available, depending on various factors that probably only Amazon is aware of.
- Some items have trade-in values of less than $1 but still qualify for the instant payment option (again, YMMV, and use an incognito window to increase your chances of seeing this option on the final trade-in confirmation screen).
- Acceptance (or rejection) of a trade-in typically takes 3-4 days after they receive it (in my experience) and at that point you will get an e-mail notifying you of their decision. If it's accepted, a gift card of the accepted value will be automatically deposited into your account. If it's rejected, they will send the item back to you for free within 14 days.
- You can cancel your trade-in at any point before it arrives at Amazon's processing center -- even while it's in transit. They will send it back once they receive it, just like they would have done it if was rejected after being received.
- The $50.00 promotional credit for the PS4 Pro won't be visible until the checkout screen. I tried combining it with the $30 off $60 Amex offer but they won't work together, unfortunately.

You lock a quote and send the game in, they snap in half and send it back.

Just an FYI my experience trading in at Amazon was not good at all. I had traded in a tablet (mint condition/not even a scratch) with box and all manuals/accessories and the trade was denied as they stated the screen was cracked.
At the time I read that, I was thinking they better not have cracked my screen and blamed me, but when I received the return a week and a half later, everything was exactly the same as it was when I sent it off.
Now that's not a biggie except for the fact that now I don't trust their trade in process, but also, I ended up keeping the tablet but all the data was wiped due to sending it in. Also, the value of the trade-in in one and a half weeks decreased by $38 (I wasn't going to send it back again to be rejected again anyways).
Now I know not all folks trading in was burned like I am, but just be aware there "might" be a possibility that this might be the case.

That's an excellent deal. Bought my Pro from them about a week and a half ago. Think they'll allow me to do this retroactively if I call up and ask?

really wish they'd lower the prices on the slims again. but it seems they're gonna keep them up to make the pro look like a more worthwhile investment.

Are the trade in items listed by platform on the offer page the only ones eligible for this offer? Because those lists are very slim, consisting mostly of consoles. If that's the case, this deal isn't as slick as I had initially thought.

You can search for the value of any game (or whatever) you might have in the search box under "trade-in". As long as you get a value above $1 or so, you should get the $50.

There's been a thread about the $50 for a little over a week: https://slickdeals.net/f/10973191-save-50-on-a-new-ps4-pro-with-any-game-console-acessory-trade-in-amazon-349

^^this
Amazon trade in is absolutely horrendous for electronics. I've tried trading in iPad, iPhone, even a uhd blu Ray player. For whatever reason, the website sets up the trade no problem, but when they get the item they've changed their minds, so they tick a random box on a list and send it back.
