Got three of these this past summer from Jet. Same price plus 15% coupon and stacking discount. They are well made, easy to maneuver. Would recommend.

"Safe" enough for the Hudson River / Manhattan riverside area? Often see kayaks there!

Fat man here. Waiting on the Explorer to drop. If you're above 225, according to reviews and answers, you should do the same.

looks like a banana though :/

also this note worries me on the explorer, especially that they had to make it all caps, smh.
MADE FOR SMALLER BODIES OF WATER: Explorer K2 is made for smaller bodies of water including lakes and mild rivers.

I'm 212lbs do you think I'll be okay taking this on a lake?

195lbs 6'1" guy here. I have one and I love it. It's lasted 4x in lakes throughout Wisconsin, and fits in the back of my sports car.

Bought 2 as Christmas gifts for a couple. Extra 15% off coupon for Prime members (used 2 prime accounts) brought it down to $42 each.

I'm 195, had mine for a full season and I love mine. Its very easy to paddle because it sits on top of the water rather than cutting through it, so make sure to fully inflate it.
