I've been wanting that dinosaur set for my kiddo for a while now - under $10 was my buy point, so thank you!

I have the fire and police station; pretty much the same but also fantastic. The kiddo loves it, especially the fire truck

Awesome. Bought our boy police island when it was on sale a few weeks ago and now he'll have this to go next to it.

Thanks op! Repped.

Does anyone know what is the return policy on Lego sets? If we open the packets inside there is a good chance for missing pieces. Right? So, is there any special return policies on lego sets? If anyone know.

If you're asking if there is a good chance for missing pieces in the packets, the answer is no - Lego actually includes a few extra pieces in their sets. If you DO have missing pieces, you'd just contact Lego directly - they'll help you out. If you asking if you can open the bags and then return them later, the answer is also no - not without some sort of special circumstance. The store can't verify you are returning it with all its pieces if you open the bags.

Yeah, at least the store "shouldn't" be accepting returns with opened bags. Historically some of the expensive $100+ sets have had exclusive minifigs which go for a lot. Apparently a big problem was people popping these open (sometimes in the store) just to "harvest" minifigs to sell online. Still basically theft no matter how you look at it.

I've noticed TRU now actually just has empty boxes of some of the expensive sets on the shelf, and you have to get a paper tag to bring up and pay for your product and it's brought from the back room. Sad that this is necessary, but apparently it is...

On the other hand I have sometimes bought re-taped returned items (usually from WalMart Clearance) I always open it immediately and make sure that all the bags are there and are still sealed. Don't know why people sometimes buy a Lego product, open the box but not the bags, and return it... If the bags are open, it's pretty highly YMMV whether the returner was ethical or not.

Yes, my question was about the second part. Return policy after trying building the item where there is a good chance for missing pieces while returning. I guess they they accept returns open Legos. Thanks.

No, you can't try to build it and then return it.

No, no store I've ever heard of will accept returns on Legos if the parts bags are opened. What are you concerned about? Lego is renowned for their quality control and missing pieces are not something that happens frequently, far from it.
