$200 shoes.. is there something special about these shoes I'm missing? Is it made out of baby skin or something?

After a year the outsoles/tread on the shoe will be ruined and you'll be walking on the cracked boost.

$200 for a pair of sneakers that doesn't even last you 1.5 years is mind blowing to me.

It's all about the hype and trend. If you have money, I say go for it, people say it's the most comfortable shoe ever. If not and a poor peasant like me, I just buy whatever's on sale and on the FP of SD. Bought the Adidas Alphabounce, some say they're up there with the UB but not UB level, but I paid $36 for it and I'll probably put 5+ years on it before I throw it out.

Boost foam. I've got 4 pairs of UB's. And 1 pair of replicas. They are pretty much identical.

And the bottom is Continental tire rubber. Unless you're running weekly marathons, I don't see that happening.

I believe it was a known issue that the first and maybe second generation of Ultraboosts had the poor bottom sole problems; it should have been fixed by now, they switched to a new material in the later models.

How much does replicas cost? Are they as comfortable as the real ones?

Good to know. I am unaware of running shoe trends. I am aware that kids get shot for shoes(Jordans) at those prices, so that was my concern. I've noticed that all of the running/crossfit/athletic shoes are made in 2nd world wannabe shtholes and they are all made to break in year, so I get the cheapest one, put $15 insoles in it, and rock n roll until it dies. I just wanted to find out what the point was of this "cheap" price. No offense to people excited about it. I have no TV, so am unaware of this kinda cyclical style stuff. Anywho, they look interesting. I hope the people buying it get it down in price, because damn.. hell no. Not for me.
