These things are awesome for cold rides. Rode over Tioga pass in Yosemite a couple years ago and about froze my butt off! One of these and my rain gear made it tolerable. Cool

try snowmobiling! when its 10°F out and 70mph wind makes it feel like -30 it seems to cut thru whatever you wear. One of these is necessary to not get frostbite, being cold is not an option unless u have heated clothes.

I'm outside all winter long, these are a pain, not adjustable. A beanie combined with a neckie is the way to go, way more adjustable and you can just pull down the neckie to talk, eat, or breathe.
