Read reviews, such as this one, and customer comments.

Here is one site (that I trust) and look for other reviews .

https://www.bestvpn.com/purevpn-review/

There are better VPNs available at Stacksocial, and the code should work with any of them.

I have used VPN.Asia, VPNsecure, and Windscribe, and recommend them.

It always amazes me, when these lifetime offers are posted, that people can't seem to click the link given and read the information provided. I guess I need to quit being amazed.

No one knows what your lifetime will be or the lifetime of any given business.

DO NOT trust PureVPN anymore!! their so called no-log policy and willingness to work with FBI really lost the trust of many users, that's why they're offering dirt cheap prices to have money to cut the loss. If you're planning to use VPN, it means you value your privacy. Why use something that's not what it claims to be?

A word of caution about using PureVPN beyond that already mentioned.

https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/vie...p?t=307445

And it's not just dd-wrt. At any given time, I can easily find numerous devices accessible via the public IP of their VPN servers. And since that access circumvents the WAN, where users assume their device is not accessible due to the default firewall rules, they sometimes don't use a strong password. Big mistake.

And I suspect it's not just PureVPN. You should always check whether the VPN provider firewalls their end of the VPN tunnel before purchasing. Why more VPN reviewers don't consider this part of their review process puzzles me. It a huge vulnerability.

I've already bought PureVPN. That is a stupid thing I did in my life. PureVPN is really bad, on Windows OS, even on iOS.
I don't try many VPN, but if you need an advice, HideMyAss is the best choice I used. If you don't have much money, you can try Windscribe (I'm using it now).

Maybe you should trust your fellow SDers and read msg # 2 and # 6 in this thread.

Sorry it didn't work out for you.

And you might want to read up on Hidemyass:

https://www.bestvpn.com/privacy-n...-arrested/

https://www.bestvpn.com/hidemyass-review/

"Next to PureVPN, HideMyAss is also the service that BestVPN.com has received the most complaints about. These center on poor customer service, not honoring its money back guarantee, and poor speed performance."

Folks should get a VPN that does NOT keep logs.

VPN.Asia is my favorite.

https://www.bestvpn.com/vpn-asia-review/

"No logs whatsoever are kept by VPN.Asia, and being based in Belize puts it outside the jurisdiction of agencies like the NSA or GCHQ."
