there was a dell 1440p 144hz gysnc monitor on sale for 350 not to long ago. very bad deal

But unless you have a time machine, that's kind of irrelevant at this point.

there was a dell time machine on sale for 350k not to(sic) long ago....

You could have just ran the Dell at 1080p. Yeah the image will be a little soft and it's like $50 more but when you eventually upgrade your computer, you won't have to spend the additional $300 to get a 1440p 165Hz GSync.

I used the 1060/6 on the Dell and it was 50-80fps in many new titles. When dropping down the 1080p the numbers went up.
