Dex 2 is coming by the way, might be able to snag a cheap Dex 1 in the future for my S8+.

OT and Rant:
I hate Samsung bloats...Many useless apps and services are running on the background such as this Dex feature...many people will never use it,and it is defaulted to sit there idly for nothing but draining battery and wasting RAM.

Oh yeah, totally agree. At least you can go in and disable the unused ones, wish you could remove them without rooting the phone.

Your post inspired me to go through my apps again and disable ones I don't use. So thanks for that! Cool

Without root, many apps and service can't just be disabled without a specialized app such as Package Disabler or AdHell.

In addition, I am seeing Flipboard, Gear VR, all of those Edge features, Bixby, and many more that I don't even use or care. They are wasting lots of my battery...I finally use AdHell to disable so many of them, and my battery lasted over the whole weekend (moderate use) on a single charge.

True. But the next DeX will likely launch alongside the S9, likely in April/May. This deal is good for someone who's got of the current Galaxy phones and wants to get the desktop experience sooner rather than later.

True. Here hoping a future support for a Windooze 10 for Qualcom ARM on these Dexes.

I haven't really followed Windows Phone, but isn't it dead?

Read up on Windooze 10 for Qualcom (especially, those new Asus and HP Windooze 10 S laptops). Hint, those laptops are running Snapdragon 845.

Its reviving. But they are first doing arms with 32-bit windows.. supposedly its windows on "perfect" emulation for arms. The endpoint: efficiency. 25% longer lasting running windows on small form factor such as labtop and phones. I am excited about that.
