Everything seems expensive after that price mistake... lol

Chemical Guys... look I've been detailing cars with every product under the sun since 1994, when I got my first car. I come from a long line of detail nuts in my family. This stuff is marginally better but not worth the price premium. For the wash, lots of water, a sheepskin mitt, and TWO buckets (if not three) plus a whole new set of buckets and rags for the wheels and rockers. For the wax: a random orbital and carnauba, applied after clay, will generally suffice no matter what brand. It could be Harbor Freight orbital and pads with Turtle Wax carnauba and clay. Basically if you have 4 hours, you'll get pro results. I once saw a guy from Imola Motorsports in Minneapolis waxing an F40. I asked him what he used? Basic meguiar's.

$4.33 for the applicators is with Sub. & Save only. $4.90 for Wash mitt. Not the regular price.

thanks for the exp and input.

for the grit guard insert, just dip and use top half to 3/4 of the bucket to avoid crap on the bottom

I buy these for applying finish to cabinet doors for my business. Haven't seen them this low in a long time. Thanks. They seem to have went up in price when I showed them to other franchisees in our company lol

I had received the 8 pack of app pads and paid $12 for them last month. I just applied to return them because I found a better price. They simply credited my credit card and said I don't need to return the item. What a deal. Now I don't even have to rebuy at $5.

Who makes good sponge applicators and wash mitts?

Some reviews say the soap isn't much better than other brands. Did you find it better?

The mitts, sponges, whatever float anyhow. What are people doing to dip and scrub the bottom of their buckets? I use 3 gallon buckets from Menards ~$3.00
