The video models have heads that tilt and pan, a bar/handle for directing the camera. The new models lock in place, but the old models do not. It's unclear which these are.

The standard model has a head which holds in place, which is more suitable for still photos.

The quick release mechanism might be different as one is a clip and the other (video models) is a plate.

The original size holds phones 2.1 to 2.8" wide and the XL models hold phones 2.7 to 3.9" wide.

All have magnetic feet.

The differences are listed if you select a model.

Looks like the bigger smartphone mount will accommodate a Switch. In for one.

I thought this was a phone holder that would be useful for watching videos while lying in bed. Even though that's not its purpose it looks like it could work...

The XL is for "plus" sized phones.

Can't see a reason not to get the magnetic feet.

looks like they all have magnetic feet which is cool. The two "video" ones have a bar extension for panning and tilting.

The Joby GripTight GorillaPod Video B&H # JOJB01340 MFR # JB01340
suits smaller phones at 2.1 to 2.8" Wide.

the other two fit 2.7 to 3.9" Wide.

in for one to add to my old-cellphone IP cam project for around the house !
