the 247 is one to get. while we at that subject, the 99 dollar lowes kobalt 277 set is , IMHO, better buy.

that been said. if you are even a bit serious about doing auto work (other than change motor oil), you may want to buy just impact sockets for their greater flexibility. there are very few places where you actually need thinner walled chrome socket.

I have both for DIY mechanic work. Best to buy master sets either in chrome or impact. You will likely have gaps with sets like these.

completely agree. if i could start over again, i wouldn't buy any of those "tool sets" as i always have to have a missing size. and i only used included wrench for less than 5 times before i get a 3 degree flex head ratchet set.

i also ended up rebuying 3/8 and 1/2 metric set just to cover everything from 8mm to 36 mm with no holes in between. was working on my wife's car last week and out of no where i need 25mm and 27 mm socket. not a single socket set that i can find anywhere ( except ONE impact, deep socket set from gear wrench that covered from 8 to 36 with no holes in between).

buying tool sets is basically a complete waste of money in my experience.

i apologize, it is 227.

the retching wrench came with at the kobalt is 90 tooth, and kobalt's life time warranty is super easy to execute (just walk into any lowes). those are the main reason i would recommend that set over this set.
