Not all curved monitors are created equal.
The on sale 34" is 3800R. NOT 1900R. If $500 for 1900R, it will be a no brainer deal.
OP: would you add "3800R" next to 34" description ? Thanks

Its still a no brainier to me. It comes down to how much you want to save? $150 off an item seems like a good deal considering that on average this monitor goes for 540+ used .

Doesn't look like these monitors play well with Mac's. I was hoping to replace my Apple Cinema.

in what way? I connected my macbook pro with the u3415w. no issues. There is no Dell display manager but there is Magnet app which is great.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do as well. I have a PC and MBP 2013. What resolution is your MPB running on this monitor?

I saw this: http://en.community.dell.com/supp...t/19616075 showing that the monitor does not support OSX.

Looking at this as a second monitor to a 5k iMac. Anyone have any input?

I use this monitor daily with my 2016 MacBook Pro with no issues. Connected via HDMI into the video adapter dongle. It runs at the monitor's native resolution at 60hz. Hope this helps.

Isn't the U3415W 3800R, and the U3417W 1900R? If so, I think the distinction is already pretty clear, as it states U3415W.
