Republic wireless uses tmobile and sprint behind the scenes, it is an mvno

They run their android app on the phone to do some system level crap, once you install it you cannot get rid of it unless you do factory reset

The coverage etc is decent

5$ per GB is great compared to 10$ for project fi - jeez

Moto phones are good bang for your buck generally speaking

I think we have a winner

Offer is not available for existing service lines

I'm on one of the old plans w/ no data (just unlimited calls/texts) at $9.99/month. Been meaning to upgrade to the $20 plan w/ 1gb though so the increase doesn't factor in much for me.

I'm in CO and while I wouldn't describe coverage as stellar I'm on wifi like 95% of the time so it doesn't effect me much. Have been with RW for a few years and for the amount of savings I racked up it was definitely worth it.

They have both available. Looks like it is about 25$ cheaper to get the 2GB model

I'm speaking about the claim of 5gb free data. I read the PDF from republic wireless and it mentions 2gb. The PDF also mentions the promo runs from December 12th to January 12th so not sure why B&H said it's today only.

I agree I can't go from 6.4 down to anything smaller at this point.

Thanks, I'm in. Already on RW so 6 months of free service significantly brings my cost down. Was trying to hold out for a G5s Plus, but at this price I think it's best I jump in now.

Basically the same price as the Best Buy Cricket combo deal when you factor in tax. Plus I don't have to deal with selling a cricket card now.
