Not the same, OPs looks to come with a bottom container to catch the food. Also different design, not sure which is better, but OPs gets my vote with the built in catcher.

I bought this one a year or two ago. Not bad for the price, but the hand guard isn't great, and its hold on veggies is pretty poor. It is also fairly easy to accidentally slice the plastic on the guard itself, so I just use a chainmail glove.

Got it for review. A very good tip to identify if the product was given away for free or not is to look for "Verified Purchase".Amazon labels a review with this if the buyer has paid at least more than 50% the listed price.
Coming to the product it's just fine.
the handgaurd is pretty useless, and tray is fairly small and the whole this is not very sturdy.

Many Years ago got one and cut my thumb. Very bad cut too and still remember the pain. Please be very careful and kids stay away. This is much more dangerous than knife.

Not a good product, got my fingers cut real bad. Needed sutures on one of the fingers.

The guard provides inadequate safety against the exposed blades.

I wouldn't say it's more dangerous than any other sharp object.
Just use common sense and don't go ALL the way to the end of the vegetable you're slicing. Also, don't be in a hurry when using this Smilie

The company can give a code to a "reviewer" that makes the product free or very very cheap. So even the verified purchase reviews can be biased / "fake".

I can vouch for sharp. I cut myself on this to. Just a "warning" cut I call it. It's like a bunch of razor blades. It works real well though. Just be aware.
Also want to add that my 72 year old mother in law originally bought it and didn't like it. She has arthritis and just had a hard time with it.

Sadly you are wrong here. If you see any review as verified purchase it can either of these scenario
1. The buyer paid more that 50% for the listed product.
2. The buyer paid fully and then got refunded by the seller through paypal/gc
3. The buyer paid fully for the product.

Any other scenario that is buyer getting the product for free or very cheap will Not make the review as Verified Purchaser.

To put a control on all these Amazon is keeping the track of a buyers profile, like where and all it is getting accessed any suspicious activity is leading to account wipe out.

Interesting, any source for this? I'd like to read up on it.

And thanks for the info. Still shady that a seller can buy reviews for 50% off, but it's a start.
