Same price like last couple deals. But I'm tired of getting these rebate cards. Not sure how to use these rebate cards.

https://www.hdsentinel.com. It's mentioned in the original deal.

Used electronics. Good luck. Other thread says 3 years+ in a server. Typical amount of time for them to run and then replace all their gear. There's a reason for that.

I had to partition it. Got it with with 73%health, and decreased to 37% after the scan. Many people are getting good status and having luck. But not sure if they did the scan.

make sure you're using CrystalDiskInfo vs CDM (which only benchmarks)

it's a good deal if your data is not important.
experienced the drive failure, totally a nightmare to rescue the data.

How can they refurbish a harddrive? Isn't this item simply used?

they can replace a bad controller board, clean contacts, replace or repair firmware/ROM chips even a low-level format or just detail the darn thing. Not saying they do - but there are non-moving parts too.

Ah, I see. At least some of the wear and tear have been mitigated...still, the platter is what worries me. Passing on this even though I am in desperate need of drives for my NAS. Thanks for the info, rep'ed!

FWIW, most of these will have 2 to 3 yrs of use but few on/off cycles - so little wear & tear from an enterprise standpoint where drives usually have 5yr wtys. Anyway you have until 1/31 to RMA for refund if you do take a chance and 90-day replacement so quite a bit of time to shake out any duds.
