bummer it's only 2GB.. I've been waiting for a deal on a touch screen with a dedicated video card. All the dell deals seem to be pick one: touch screen or dedicated graphics.

Came to say essentially the same thing. Are there really a lot of people in the market (and actually need) a system with 12GB RAM that don't game and wouldn't mind the piddly 2gb vid card? Perhaps there are. I'm not one of them.

Looks like the code is YMMV, but it did work for one of my accounts.

Also the CPU is actually only a dual core.. Wondered why they advertised it as a 7th gen i7, while explicitly not stating the core count. Look for i5-8250u deals!

I just but the Costco version R15 for $599 and applied the $25 off $250 online coupon. Total after tax and shipping (yuk) was around $625.

The only difference I could see was the Costco version had the i7-7200u vs the 7500u for this model. This computer is for my sister who is not a gamer, so not a big deal. Costco also has a 2+2 year warranty if bought with their credit card.

That is true. The GPU is enough for older titles. Definitely not for recent ones. Heck, even the integrated GPU is good for older titles 3yrs and older, on normal to high setting, depending on how old the game is.

I have the 940mx in my Acer laptop and does fine for slightly older games and even the first Battlefront, PvZ Garden Warfare, etc. But it was about $300 cheaper then this....

Spending $700 on a dual-core is unwise.
You don't have to be a power user to feel the difference between 2 cores and 4 cores. It doesn't take much to eat up 2 cores. With Windows Defender real time protection and Windows Update running in the background, even loading a webpage will take noticeably longer.
Even if you consider yourself a light user, stay away from this and buy a laptop with 8th gen Intel or AMD Ryzen.
