Both China Eastern and China Southern have round trip airfares travelling from Los Angeles (LAX) to Manila Philippines (MNL) from $454 to $470, depending on date. Both airlines make one stop and possibly a longer one too. Just check your itinerary before purchasing.

Travel Availability:
Departs LAX: March 11, 29, 31; April 3-4, 19-20, 25-26
Returns: Generally a 7 day stay will work

Use dates and book it on Expedia [expedia.com]. Don't forget to bundle your hotel with airfare to save.

Both China Eastern and China Southern Airlines are Chinese airlines. They don't have as high of a rating as the other International airlines. They rank 3 out 5 stars like American, United, Delta, etc. So don't expect superior service Stick Out Tongue

I have been to RP a zillion times. If you need to go someplace to see something amazing, go see the Chocolate Hills in the center of Bohol. Take lots of photos. Thank me later.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/10/asi...index.html

"History of killing
On top of his controversial war on drugs, which has seen thousands of suspected drug users and pushers killed by police and vigilantes, Duterte has previously claimed to have personally killed people.
Late last year he admitted killing suspected criminals during his time as mayor of Davao City.
"In Davao, I used to do it personally. Just to show the guys that, if I can do it, why can't you?" Duterte said.
"And (I'd) go around Davao with a motorcycle, with a big bike around, and I would just patrol the streets, and looking for trouble also. I was really looking for an encounter so I could kill."
