You have to stay Sprint at least 18 months.

Posting from the essential phone right now. It's a nice device overall, I was using a Samsung S7 and the oled and camera are nicer on the S7 but everything else feels nicer on the essential I got mine for about 150 from the previous deal.

I'm loving my Essential PH-1 bought during the $5/month lease deal and purchased outright for about $155. I own a Note 8, but am really enjoying the smaller size of the Essential. It keeps getting better with each update and Oreo should be no exception.

I agree! I am on the fence of getting a Note 8.

This $6 a month deal, after $23.17 in bill credits, has been going since the 8th. Both at Sprint and BB.
Problem is, that it replaced the real deal which ended the 7th: $5/mo. with no bill credits.

Former deal was $25 down + ($5 x 18) + $30 Pay off payment = $145 + tax

This "deal" is $0 down + ($29 x 18) + $175 POP = $697 + tax to payoff now. You get a $23.17 bill credit off that $697 total for each month you stay on the same sprint account/line as ordered from. Even if you stay the 18 months, pay line fee monthly vs. being able to also take advantage of free year of service (BYOD). . .the POP on this "deal" alone is higher than the total cost to own now from the former deal.

Miles apart. . .

You can pay off the lease amount of $6 per month * 18 months = $108 to be out of lease.
Since you dont sign any contract, you can cancel as soon as the phone is activated, lease is paid off and device is unlocked within 3-5 days.
Not even close. See post above this one. . .

I did that deal as well, did you leave and sign up for the free year plan? Not sure how to do that, and I read a good amount of that thread..

I do not recommend Note 8, too heavy and top heavy makes it very uncomfortable to hold more than few minutes.

I got rid of mine within 2 weeks.

Nevermind. Edited after seeing Needgeech's post. Not a good deal at all.

I don't have another device laying around to take a pic of both at the moment. I really like both phones, but after using the PH-1 for a while, I think I've come to the realization that the Note series has just gotten too large and I hate the curved screen.
