Any opinions on the Lenovo MR vs Acer MR? (Besides stating the obvious fact that neither one is as good as the Rift or Vive--both are being packaged as nearly free in this deal so you've gotta choose,)

Lenovo link goes to the Dell, and I the Lenovo I find there with these specs (Y720) doesn't give this price. Oh well. Lenovo's keypad layout is a bit too odd for me anyway. But I have had good luck with Lenovo laptops. Still rocking a Lenovo with a 1GB GT 240M from 7 years ago. Not so much luck with Dell. But Dell has been better than HP/Compaq in our family's experience.

worth returning the Costco deal for this? Payed 740 for the Costco one.

No tax for B&H. If I could sell the headset for 200 then the extra 60 is well worth the upgrade to an i7 and extra 8gb ram

Or does the costco extra year of warranty matter more?

The Lenovo in the post is referring to the headset. Both links are for the different headset Bundles (hence Acer as the first option). Which only the Dell laptop is featured.

This is the best deal by farrrr. Even better than today's Dell i5 for $700. Funny thing is I was about to buy this exact laptop config from costco for $999. had it in the cart waiting. then this comes along with no tax and VR gear for the same price. Done deal. New Laptop for the next 5 years.

That smaller ssd is sour. If it is 256GB SSD then I'll be all over it.

I would prefer a 256GB C drive. Haven't dealt with any laptop HDD for the last 5 years.

I don't even know how I would feel loading my games onto the HDD.

Maybe I'll switch the 1TB HDD and add a 500GB SSD, but I don't know what to do with the 1TB drive. I have a few portable drives already.

And that still does not fix the 128GB C drive.
