I bought some last month and to me it's decent coffee, I've used it with my $10 French press from another deal.

For those wondering - it's pre-ground.

Would you have to use a different filter then the mesh kind they usually come with?

I just use the very fine mesh filter that came with my French press and don't have much of a problem with grounds in my coffee

We bought some of the beans from this company and we ended up throwing all of the coffee away. I know food and tastes are subjective, but we now stick with coffee beans from Costco.

Buy beans and grind them yourself. Much more fresh and you'll be on a real coffee drinking path. Do you buy oranges already pealed? Just not the same.
