Dell November Slickdeals rebate DENIED. MAX redemptions not reached!

I ordered Dell Inspiron laptop for mom around cyber Monday because it was good deal with the rebate. ($100 rebate)

Then I thought about ordering another same laptop for dad.

Before I ordered one for dad, I checked rebate details to make sure I can get another rebate and it said "4 Max redemptions." No where did it say 1 per each tier. I did not want to waste my time so with what I read- I ordered another same laptop for dad thinking I can get the same $100 rebate.

Now I am finding out rebate for laptop for mon was approved but one for dad's laptop was declined. (Missing out on $100 rebate)

I called to find out why and they said limit is 1 rebate for $100 rebate tier. This was not explained anywhere before and all it said was "4 Max redemptions".

They should have stated "4 Max total redemptions, 1 max per each Tier" if they have stated this, I would not have ordered the same laptop for dad and would have waited to find another deal for dad's laptop!

That's why I'm on slickdeals anyway- to find deals!

Anyway with all the time I spent submitting another rebate I feel I was mislead with poor wording and it was failure to clarify accurately on the max limit.

Although I do appreciate approval of rebate for mom's laptop, I did feel frustrated for them not stating anywhere "1 max rebate per each tier" which made it look like a good deal which I cannot take advantage of in the first place. (And ended up with $100 less in my pocket basically)

If these types of incidents continue - this will only create general distrust of rebates overall - because I did everything I reasonably can to read details before I ordered and I still end up not getting what I thought I was being offered or what they claimed to offer.

Please help correct these issues and show these issues can be resolved if they occur. If not- it would just be another example for people to tell about - some reasons to not be so trustful regarding rebates in general. Because they don't tell you all the little detail on the details page even if you read all of it. And after you are declined on the rebate - then they tell you - and you can't find it anywhere.

The only logical way to resolve such an issue is to show that - when such declines happens and if it makes sense to honor the deal - make corrections and show you do honor reasonable requests to approve repeal of declined rebates.

Thanks

Hi,

The system automatically declined rebates that were for the same tier. Just to confirm, we do allow 4 submission per household and the same tier is ok. We are currently going over these rebate and approved the ones that should have been approved. Both of your rebate have been approved.

Emailed above to rebates@slickdeals.net and received email back that rebate was approved!

Thanks to SD for such a quick response and approval upon repeal of a declined rebate!

This will definitely help to let people know that if you have issues or problems with rebate, SD will help to resolve it!

Thanks again!

I keep receiving documentation has not been received. And when I mail new documentation, I get the response, "Please allow 2 weeks for confirmation".

This rebate process is a F****** nightmare. I am never using SD Rebates again.

This is an automated email that is a reminder to send in your rebate. If you have mailed your rebate, please disregard this email and allow up to 2 weeks for the processing center to receive and upload your documents.
