How good of a deal is this? I would be upgrading from the cheap $24 single one speed/mode Sonicare. Or perhaps a better question is the DiamondClean version worth $60 more?

Amazon can suck it after they cancel the deal on the Sonic toothbrush last week for $35 diamond version.

Amazon sent me a cancellation email from the $35 deal last week which stated the supplier ran out of units. I called and was told it was cancelled because of a pricing error. It didn't matter to them that i'd been lied to. Everyone I spoke with had a different answer. According to Amazon, they can cancel at any time for any reason as long as your item hasn't shipped. I'm starting to seriously not trust this company.
Then don't buy from amazon. Everybody knew it was a price mistake.

A decent $15-$30 powered brush will do the job well, so don't feel you have to spend this kind of money. Get a power toothbrush if you don't have one.

It seems features, battery life, and charging are what the extra $ get you.

any comment on this? does it have laser or ultrasonic to clean the teeth?

the basic sonic one is pretty good so it is hard to pay more without special feature.

I did some research and found that the Sonicare 2 with Adaptive Clean toothbrush head performs as well as a Platinum.

My advice get the Sonicare 2 for $20 and get the 10x cleaning toothbrush heads.
