Please note these have a spring hydraulic system for easy up and down adjustments and the pegs are merely there for strength and support. You definitely don't have to clear the top shelf when making adjustments up or down.

Sincerely,

So this uses pegs to keep the desk in place? I prefer the hydraulic adjustment instead.

Shared this with some coworkers who were looking into getting standing desk stuff to deal with back problems. Hopefully this post helps someone who was on the hedge due to excessive cost on these units.

Any video review of this item? Can't seem to find one. I'm having trouble picturing how it raises.

edit: oh there are more pictures! I get it now.

This is not deep or tall enough to be even remotely ergonomic for a normal sized person. You want the screen to be at eye level, not looking down all day. Even if it was at eye level, it would only be about a foot away from your face.

Agreed, if you raise it to the correct eye line the keyboard will not be in a comfortable spot. Too bad.

Why wouldn't it be at eye level? It looks like it rises very high in the picture. Can't tell where 18" would place it without measuring

Good point. The man in the picture appears to be photoshopped in to make appear comfortable.
