Zooz switches are a better value and allow you to use the existing 3 way switch. GE will make you buy a addon switch for 3 way operation.

This GE dimmer can be dimmed from the GE add-on switch. This may be important to some people. I wouldn't immediately dismiss the GE/Jasco system based on price. These prices can save people some $$ based on normal retail for these when outfitting an entire house.

when wired with one of the addon paddle switches, will I have dimming control from both switches, or just this switch?

nevermind, I was finally able to find proper documentation. The Add-on switch is supposed allow for dimming control when paired with the master dimming switch.

also, anyone have thoughts on this vs the Caseta dimmer switches? I bought a few of them last time they were on sale but haven't installed them yet. I plan on using these with my SmartThings+Alexa setup.

I think Caseta needs a bridge/hub to talk to your home automation controller.

Yes, you can definitely dim from the add-on.
