In for one. Even though it's discontinued, it's a cheap enough entry point for a smart watch.

Will these take calls like a speaker phone without having LTE and using Sprint. I assume they do through Bluetooth but in the description it says it only will with Verizon phone.... most likely meaning with LTE service for a stand alone watch not connected via blootooth?

note that the band on this watch is not replaceable (the LTE antennas are built into the band)

Could I set it up with my smartphone sharing one phone number from any Verizon MVNOs?

Good question, I would call the mvno, Verizon charges 5 bucks a month for watch phone number and LTE. Watch shares data plan GB from phone

If upgraded to wear 2.0, no. The watch will notify of calls but you cannot talk into the watch. Apparently it works with wear 1.5, but I never tried it.

I have total wireless. I tried going through the process on the watch and was unsuccessful. It failed at the step of "activating HD calling" on the account, which is Verizon proper only.

It has both NFC and GPS. NFC will NOT work with Android pay, though. GPS works well.

Is this just this watch or all wear 2.0?

From what I've read, just a software bug for this watch.
