You paid for the more expensive version, 2 way remote--not one way like this.

Anyone know if a 2 way remote can be added to this system and if so which remote is compatible?

Also wondering this. Wish the 2 way was on sale for less again.

Based on some Google searches this remote upgrade kit will make it two way and supposedly extend the range from 1000 feet to 3000 feet:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/compustar-2-way-confirmation-remote-kit-for-most-compustar-rsg6-series-remote-start-systems-black-orange/1655498.p?skuId=1655498

But it includes an antenna too, so best to add it during install. Guessing two way requires an antenna that is designed to transmit too.

Fwiw I've seen the remote kits on eBay for ~$70.

Or this one if you just a one button remote for $20 cheaper, but only 2000 feet vs 3000 feet, also includes the same 2 way antenna:

I've been doing some research on these as I want to get my wife one for Xmas. From what I can tell, you can buy the basic kit for around $43 on Amazon, but most modern cars will require the bypass kit which is another $50 or so bucks. So I think you end up paying around $130 for installation from B.B. when you look at it overall. Not sure how much it would cost to install at a local shop - probably similar.

I think the 2 way remote deal for $250 was the on that was a really great deal. I missed that one.
