Having trouble with WiFi after latest firmware update. They haven't fixed it yet (check Linksys forums and Twitter for more info).

I would suggest everyone to stay away from both WRT32X and WRT3200ACM until they fix things. The last week or so was hell.

I'd skip this model. It's identical to the WRT3200ACM which has been available for less. These things are pretty much just AC1750/AC1900 routers since no currently available and well-tested clients support the VHT160 feature which this thing uses to inflate the number to 3200.

The WRT32X has a custom firmware that is different from the other Linksys routers and it is missing some features like Parental controls, OpenVPN server, etc.

Why would you buy this if you weren't going to install third-party firmware?

Agreed... Been running DDwrt without much of a hitch since I unpackaged 2 weeks ago. Thought I bricked it (ui does not like chrome after flash) but was fine.

Because it's bad. The stock firmware is so bad, you can't do anything in it. Very limited and idiot-proof. Also, the latest firmware update causes the WiFi to drop intermittently. Took it back to Best Buy after one day and ordered an Asus RT-AC86U. So far so good.

Cause when you spend a lot of money on something, you expect it to work and work well out of the box!

I have the 3200acm and its been great for me. You just have to find the right settings and it solved my lag issues with my OG ps4. We've had multiple tvs stream multiple 4k videos no issues.

fyi; faster cpu in a router mostly benefits the i/o of anything connected to it's usb ports, so the notion that it somehow reduces latency is a marketing joke. good qos logic used by both your router and isp's head end router is what keeps latency in check while sharing that last mile with your neighbors, and in the case of fios - if you are on anything less than 1gig service, their terrible qos is ruining your latency and adding avg retries no matter what router you get. a "prioritization engine" is just a marketing term for qos on your lan which is also silly as you can simply speed cap all lan connections to 80% of your wan potential, thus you keep any one guy's brief but high transfer rate game update from stepping on your entire isp connection. buyers need to realize that routers have not changed much since 2015 - so all you are paying a premium for now is slick 'gamer' marketing.

The problem is, if somehow you get updated to the new "broken" firmware, the WiFi drop issue persists even if you flash DD-WRT or Lede.
