Starting this Friday, December 15th, Verizon will be offering a Buy One, Get One deal on the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, Galaxy S8, and Galaxy S8+.
This means that if you buy one of these phones, you can get a second free.
There is some fine print with this deal that you should be aware of. Both phones must be purchased on device payment, and you'll need to activate a new line of Verizon Unlimited service. Additionally, the second phone that you buy must be from the same manufacturer as the first, meaning you can't get one Apple device and one Samsung. No trade-in is required.
Once you meet all of those requirements, Verizon will give you bill credits spread out over 24 months to cover the cost of the second device.
This offer is open to both new and upgrading customers.

Fine print:
Up to $949.99 device payment purchase and Verizon unlimited per device required. 2nd phone: $699.99 promo credit applied to account over 24 mos; promo credit ends when balance paid or line terminated/transferred to another plan; 0% APR. One line must be a new line of service. First device can be any memory configuration of iPhone 8 or 8 Plus. Second device can be any iPhone 8 or 8 Plus of equal or lesser value to first device, but devices other than the iPhone 8 64GB will not be free after $699.99 promo credit.

Awful! Last Dec deal of $10/month for an iPhone 7 with no trade was decent. Nothing nearly as good since...

Yes, it's a good deal for you since the mandatory terms to qualify fit what you need. It won't be popular for most others because they may not need a new line and may not need unlimited.

Hi. So what does it mean "activate a new line of Verizon unlimited"? I already have two lines (both not unlimited). Can I upgrade both lines to new iphone 8, upgrade both lines to "Verizon unlimited" from our current "16GB plan" and get one of the iphones free? Or will I need to add a whole new additional line (i.e new phone number) to the plan?

Nothing slick about Verizon and there video Optimization that's on every one of there lines . Go to fast.com and do a speed test and look at out pathetic they are. They are slowing you down and didn't even bother telling you

You have to get an unlimited data plan to qualify so your bill will go up like $70/month
