Skybell Trim $150

DEAL IS DEAD

This camera appears to be the same as the skybell trim HD, complete with free video storage, ability to use the skybell app, and support from skybell. I need the trim for space reasons and the $130 deal directly from skybell is over. It seems like people in that thread are having a tough time dealing with skybell directly. I've never had a problem dealing with b&h. Plus this deal is actually available. So, if you need this specific doorbell cam before Christmas, this may be the deal for you.

Shows Honeywell version. Guessing it only works with their alarm and control panel?

Honeywell version works with the standard Skybell app. It is the "Alarm.com" version that is the one you have to worry about. That one will only work with "Alarm.com" specific app/programs.

Thanks... Anything I've found online (which isn't much) seems to corroborate this.

FYI - also, there's another option for a thin WiFi video doorbell deal at this time:

DO NOT get the Laview if you do not have their NVR. Their app is really bad, the main issue you'll experience is sensitivity. You'll get an alert for anything that moves (leaf, cars, change in light condition). The ONLY way to change the sensitivity setting is through the NVR.

They have almost no customer service. i was on the last deal and luckily paid by paypal. I have to escalte my case with paypal to get a email reply from their manager. But still it took another 3 days for them to send a replacement for my DOA trim plus. hopefully this time it will have no problem. I have ring pro before, it works perfectly and CS is the best. they will send any missing part no questions asked. And there is always people answering the phone. only downside is the $3 subscription fee

My case is different, we connected the doorbell with possibly wrong voltage transformer so it got burned instantly and it should not be covered by the warranty. But I sent the email to tech support and tell them what's going on, and surprisingly now they are sending me a replacement without a problem.

I'll stick with Ring. I have several Ring products and they are reliable (after you dial them in) and customer service is amazing. As with any WiFi device, just be sure you have a strong signal and get an extender if needed

Got the old round version. Works well enough. A bit too sensitive maybe, detects cars in the street once in a while. But my favorite part vs the Ring is that this thing has no subscription fee. That alone outweighs watching cars along with the delivery guy not ringing my door bell because lazy.

Ring allows you to select sensitivity, and choose what parts of the view to detect motion on (e.g. just the driveway for instance, but not necessarily the sidewalk or street).

15fps at 1920x1080? So there is no subscription service right for this version with honeywell? I hope it's the alarm.com version.
