YOU DON'T NEED TO STILL OWN YOUR PS3 TO GET THIS. JUST SUBMIT WITH YOUR PSN NETWORK SIGN IN ID THAT YOU USED BACK THEN. FILLING OUT THE FORM CAN BE DONE IN LITERALLY UNDER A MINUTE.

As someone who DID buy a Fat PS3 and DID use the Other OS option, I'm glad to see some compensation when Sony removed that functionality. I know a lot of it goes to the lawyers but they (Sony) deserve to pay.

I may have given the wrong gamer tag. Can i get in trouble? Should I call their office? Or if I'm not eligible, will i just not get a check? Inhave never done one of these before. I definitely boughr 2 or 3 fat PS3s thpugh. It was so long ago though.

I am willing to bet you will simply be rejected, and that will probably depend on the number of submissions. (I am guessing the refund pool is set, but I am just spitballing)

In for one....

Seriously though, other OS removal and the yellow light of death on these models....I wish it was a bigger payout for us.

Slickdeal effect, we'll all end up getting 10 cents

I couldn't care less about the other OS stuff but I did have to replace the laser 3 times on my PS3 (twice at my own expense)

Actually HAVE my YLOD PS3 WITH CFW, but its in storage halfway across the country.

Was still playing games off the HDD when the disc drive failed thanks to GeoHot, then Showtime basically brought all your movies and games into one app.....Man, those were good times....

I seem to remember first time around they had some ridiculous requirements for proof, like photos of the PS3 running Linux or something like that, which got challenged. Is this the same settlement but with the nonsense requirements gone?
