Better black levels and less backlight bleed than IPS. IPS has better viewing angles and better color accuracy I believe.

Probably because most off-brand monitors are using the same exact panels as brand monitors. And because brand monitors with equivalent specs cost almost double of what these off-brands go for.

Although, my TV is a Changhong, so I don't know what you are talking about Smilie
