There's some discussion about it in the Dec. 3 weekly thread and this post has a copy of the email the store managers received.

I wonder why this is happening? Nationwide insurance just made the same announcement. I used to get points every time I payed my insurance bill.

sounds like they will be phasing out Plenti. Hopefully, they will give us long enough to use our remaining points before they shut it down completely.

This is the 3rd or 4th program since I started

Generally in a switch-over there are glitches galore
some are very lucrative
but I personally sit out the first 2 months & by the then dust has settled, clerks have as much of a clue and they're ever going to have and I haven't had to spend any time on the phone with CS

too bad the last few years Jan/Feb are when I earn the bulk of my Wellness points but I've always been Gold twice over on my cards by Dec 31, so I won't stress over that

I've gotten some more information today about new wellnes bonus cash and its not too promising...

Wellness cash is earned in an increments of 1, 5, 10 etc and can only be used the same way Frown
Wellness cash can be redeemed 6am next day
Wellness cash has an expiration of 60 days
Customers will not be prompted to use wellness cash but it will rather be just auto applied if they met the threshold
Customers can track wellness cash only by looking at their L2C and it will be visible there with value and exp dates
If customers have both Plenti and Wellness Cash, we will still get the prompt to use Plenti points and if you select yes, first the Wellness Cash will get auto deducted and only remaining balance can be paid using plenti points.

No mention of any sort still if we will be able to roll Wellness Cash and this is the biggest concern to me...

Could this possibly mean that it can only be used as whole numbers? It doesn't make sense that you can only earn in increments of 1, 5, 10 when the first ad for BonusCash shows that you can earn 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 10.

I'm hoping this just means we're only earning and spending as whole numbers. So if our total was $17.64, we could use $17 BonusCash and just have to pay .64. That wouldn't be too terrible. I like that PP covers the entire total, but having to pay change as opposed to a set threshold like Wags is preferable.

I guess we'll see.

Thanks alot for posting!

this sounds messy using Qs
Plenti wasn't a lot of fun at the beginning, gettng them to scan Q before applying points
if' it's auto-applied this could (not) be fun
but
i'm glad i bought a bunch of RA GCs. i
bought $10 increments and in CA can cash them out under $10

As long as we have Plenti points I guess we could pay ($10) Wellness cash for a $12.57 order & have the 2.57 covered by PP

60 days expiration is killing people like me just go there once in a while. I do not buy anything from CVS because ECB expires in 30 days. Keep rewards rolling is too hard for occasional shoppers. I have been shopping at RA for pass 2 years. Most likely going back to target.

Actually, do you think last week's RA GC sale has anything to do with this change? It is the first time ever I seen a store sells their own GC at a discount. I personally bought some last week, now I have to keep shopping at RA until all my GC use up.

My guess is that we'll get yet another card, maybe a Wellness Plus card.
Swipe that, as you said payment comes off then you swipe your Plenti card to cover any remaining balance.

This could be very bad.

Customers will not be prompted to use wellness cash but it will rather be just auto applied if they met the threshold

The million dollar question is whether it gets auto applied before or after we scan coupons. If it gets applied before, I can't see how anyone can coupon there.

Customers can track wellness cash only by looking at their L2C and it will be visible there with value and exp dates

This would be a major PITA. It sounds like the receipt won't tell us how much we have. Worse yet, what if it doesn't tell us whether we earned it after the transaction?

Scanning coupons before card would be the way to go.
