It can be upgraded. It's a PCIe NVMe M.2. Get the Samsung 960 Evo or Pro and it'll fly.

This is a good deal for an 8th generation processor.

I don't think Dell makes full HD touchscreens. For touchscreen, you would need an QHD display, which normally costs $350 more than their HD.

They do but it's an uncommon config. The last Dell XPS 13 deal from the Microsoft Store for $699.99 had a FHD touchscreen but the last gen (i5 7200). This deal is pretty smoking hot considering you can now use discounted Xbox cards on this!

so yeah, I was looking at the last $699 deal here on this. This version is def worth the $50 increase in savings?

Although I think I'd be hesitant to buy with xbox cards as I really like the extended warranty with buying with a CC, but will have to look into that.

I'm not seeing anybody being able to pull off ordering 7 of the $100 gift cards at 20% off

Oh it's the same deal, but most people who even tried to order 2 were getting their orders canceled. Worth a shot though or at the very least another $20-$40 off.
