Wow, great find, I'd have bought it but already maxed out my Bucks this quarter (I'd only get $60 buck on this).

These are actual US mint coins, to get those under spot is a rare deal. I see pre 1933 coins under spot with Bucks but never recent coins.

Is this only for collectors? Or what is the purpose of these besides the gold aspect?

They're US Mint coins, predecessors of the Eagles, right? And more rare since out of production.

These are not coins. They are medals. Even back when premiums were high you could find these under spot. Nobody cares about them.

It is a better deal to buy one ounce Eagles when they are around $10 over. Or Krugs for $7 over. Anything like that is a better deal than medals.

Meh, can't remember how much under spot this was, but these might eventually become popular. I've found much better deals though, as much as $60 under spot, for real coins. Not sure why people care that their $1400 coin can be exchanged for $20 in paper money.
