Steering Wheel Covers - Various Types (12 total) - $1.11 to $6.96 @ Walmart.com (Free Store Pickup)

Hey SD. While searching for an extra in my secret Santa gift, I came across a bunch of cheap steering wheel covers. For some odd reason, these are on clearance on Walmart.com; however, these still sell for normal price in-store. I picked up the "Weathered Grey/Black Steering Wheel Cover" for $2.99 (price dropped further) and I liked it enough to order two more, along with 3 others. I paid $10.88 for five wheel covers with free in-store pickup. All of the covers ship from Walmart.com, so no weird third party seller.

It looks like all of the covers have had a dramatic price increase and are no longer "clearance" items. Consider the deal expired. Example below.

Ad Stitch Steering Wheel Cover, Grey $5.82

Agreed. The look bad and make gripping the steering wheel a tiny bit less precise. Who would use this and why?

California is fine, it's the people that are there now that's the problem....

I prefer a steering wheel cover. I've always kept one on my car and never had an issue. It keeps the steering wheel cool after a day in the hot Florida sun. No issues with gripping either. They are also fitted so well, there is not any movement between the cover and the steering wheel itself. I can confidently say I've never been subject to "potential danger" from my steering wheel cover. My current one even has rubber grips. I find that the original steering wheel gets a sticky feeling from the heat over time (when I drive other people's car without a cover.)

Cripes. I literally was in the store yesterday buying one. I don't know if the Nissan Xterra has a thicker than normal steering wheel, but it was tough to find one that even came close to covering half the circumference. Finally went with cheap stretchy.

I use them to to protect the finish of the steering wheel. They are also good for those who have worn or unsightly steering wheels and want to mask it, without having to get it re-upholstered or replaced. There are also the sew on covers, but some people don't have the time and or patience for that type of product.

I'm not entirely sure, but you can try. If they sell them in your local store, you could try returning one without the receipt. It's a grey area tactic, but it will probably work.

Thanks, ordered the black one ($3.47) for the old hunt camp Jeep Liberty. Been looking for a cheapo to cover up the worn out steering wheel.
