GoBros [gobros.com] is having another Darn Tough sale. Use discount code TOUGH20.

Not as good as their annual 25% off. But they make great stocking stuffers, and I'm sure a few SD members who bought a single pair to try might want a few more.

For those who haven't read a DT thread, they're wool, comfy, and have a lifetime warranty.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Skip everything over Medium thickness unless you're in boots and/or the arctic all day. They're pretty warm and cushioned.

Choose your length.

Then think about your needs.

I have calf length for curling and boots in snow.

Sneakers get the two lightest weights to minimize bunching. Casual kicks do better a little thicker.

Oh - thinner socks stretch less. So if you're between sizes, buy larger. In the thicker socks, you may want to get the smaller size.

What the heck, 26 pages of socks? How am I supposed to decide on one?

FYI TJMaxx's seconds increased to $12.99 this year so buying new on sale is better deal.

Bought a couple pairs last time out of curiosity over the hype. In my experience, they make my feet sweat way more than normal cotton socks. However, they still don't end up smelling that bad at the end of the day, it's just more of a comfort factor to feel like you have sweaty feet all day.

Costco wool socks you get 4 for under 15 bucks and highly reviewed where they are compared to REI and Darn tough and performance wise on par or better, those saying better must be excited about price because I thought they were on par compared to my REI thick wool socks but slightly thinner, kind of middle of road between a light and thick sock... and that's perfect for me. Wish i would have known about costco brand before spending 30 on 2 pairs from REI & darn tough

Did they get better this year? Last year's were shit. Didn't even buy any bc the reviews were so bad. Worn through the previous couple years worth faster than I've ever worn through any other socks and I've bought some pretty cheap ones at Ross and such over the years.

Absolutely. I see why they guarantee their socks. 5 years and no tears. Wash after wash and like new. Other top tier brands can't come close. Craziness.

Just got a pack from Costco. Appears to be 72% Merino Wool, 27% Nylon, 1% Elastane

I've heard good things about the brand Icebreaker Merinos as well. Has anyone tried their socks?
