So I'm thinking of getting my daughter some sort of prepaid, reloadable credit card. Seems they all have monthly fees and all these little caveats that make them less desirable.

One of the problems is that we live in different states and my current bank doesn't have any sort of kids account feature. I'm also looking for one that's either Visa or Mastercard so that's it'll be accepted anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

You could make her an authorized user of one of your credit cards.

If you trust your daughter enough to know she will not go overboard with a credit card, making her AU on your Visa/MC credit card is fine. It is important that you trust her becauseas primary cardholder, you're responsible for all charges she makes regardless of whatever agreement you have with her.

Check GoBank prepaid reloadable which requires at least one direct deposit monthly to waive the $8.95 fees. Any ACH transfer from another bank works as direct deposit to waive the monthly fee. Check all the Terms N Conditions before you sign up.
