I've never performed this repair before, but thankfully the internet provides excellent resources to guide me through the process. Toilet fixing newbie here: YouTube videos seem to show you need to unscrew entire tank, empty the water, in order to install this, correct?

Yes because you are changing the fill valve you need to empty the tank and take the old part out. Easiest way to do this is to turn the water off and flush your toilet. Hold the lever and let it drain and this should get almost all of the water out. Then you can disconnect the water supply and replace the fill valve.

I don't see new seals for the bolts included. When I made this repair that was the biggest pain, keeping them from leaking.

FYI
I prefer the Korky quietfill for many years and I can verify these are very quiet. This is also a less expensive option at $6.17 at the moment as an add on item.

It's also available as a kit with a flapper if needed

No need to remove tank just drain it by shutting off supply holding flush handle down and get the rest of the water out of the tank with a sponge.

Pretty sure this is normal price at places like lowes and Home Depot. I just bought one 2 weeks ago in the hardware section of a convenience store for $9.99.

Just FYI at Home Depot 3 pack of the valve is $14.99 and 3 pack of the flapper is $9.99 so $25 for 3 pack

You do NOT need to unscrew the entire tank for this kit. This kit replaces the fill valve and the flapper only. You just need to shut off the water to the toilet, flush the toilet, leave the flapper up to allow as much water as possible to drain, then either absorb the remaining water with a towel (use one you don't care about) or put a bucket under the fill valve as you unscrew it as the remaining water will pour out there.

Also, FWIW, I don't really care for these fill valves. They seem to last sometimes a year, sometimes two, some times five. You never really know. But you will wind up replacing it again. Usually it's just the gasket at the top failing, which they do sell a replacement gasket for that. It's not that hard to replace but this also isn't always the issue either. But for the price, it's hard to go wrong.

This has got to be the best Freudian Keyboard Slip I've seen in a while. Applause Thanks for that. I had to check - the model is actually "Fluidmaster 400CRP14".
