There is simple, FREE, fix to OBI 100/110 devices. All you need is a spare old laptop or desktop (or a raspberry pi zero). For laptop/desktop, simply download the open source FreePBX distro (https://www.freepbx.org/) and install. For Raspberry Pi, use Raspberry Asterix (http://www.raspberry-asterisk.org/).

You can still use the Obi100 and Obi110 by subscribing to an SIP service. For a one-time $6 fee, I got my Obi110 working through Simonics.com. The configuration instructions were straightforward.

My older son is eligible, but he first has to get his grades up to par. We are one of those crazy parents that don't believe in rewarding C's.

My 11year old does not need a cell phone.

Thanks OP. Was looking for this for the past 10 days. My 110 model is not supported anymore and I needed a replacement.

I don't have the 110 but I've seen several post saying that there is a work around to get the 110 working. Still this is a great deal on the 200. We got ours 3 years ago and have been saving $30 a month since dropping the POTs line.

There is, but you have to paypal $5 to some dude who does some wacky backend software thing... no telling how long that will last.

Historically it doesn't get much cheaper than $35, but it does go on sale for about that fairly frequently. The real savings is it pays for itself in a month or 2 if you are currently paying for a monthly fee land line.

Thanks for elaborating! No landline, nope. But using GV a lot, LOL. All the apps for it are a bit of a hassle. This could totally simplify my life, I think... Too bad about that silly EMC* code. The extra savings from clicking through a cashback site would have been so nice.
