Do you mean this one (it's always helpful to include a link when you're asking to compare one deal with another one)? https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/11041891

The answer really depends on your intended use of the computer. Is it for your 75 year-old grandpa who will be checking his email and playing solitaire? A teenager to do homework? A small business? Do you have budget limitations?

It's interesting to see that it doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. I guess this is a trend: drop the drive and add more ports. I suppose I won't need this drive at some point, but I like one for the time being.

Yes that'd be a better processor. This is a touch screen and more ram. I'd prefer the other deal but some folks like the touch screen

I would probably agree if it was a 2-in-1 like this one and if wasn't double the price.

Yet another SDer who can't imagine that a product could possibly be good for someone else because it's not good for them. I found 2 locally for $199 each. One is for a friend who uses it for email and basic internet only. I could get a cheap tablet but he's familiar with computers and not very tech savvy; don't want to teach him how to use a new gizmo. The other is for a mountain cabin for occasional use. Why would an SSD be necessary for more than twice the cost?

Reminds me of people who post "I can't believe people are still buying alkaline batteries. Rechargeable are the way to go." Well, some devices simply don't work on alkalines (my gamecams, for instance).

I bought this one but the 6gb model at BB for $420. Had it now for 5 months and love it. Would definitely pay the extra for 12gb

The point is why paying $500 for a laptop with no ssd?

It all boils down to how you can get a deal $ !

Or they make money upon your stupidity.
