Hello. My wife are planning a trip to South East Asia and were hoping to fly first class this time. We want to take the trip in June, 2018 Are there any credit cards with signup bonuses that my wife and I can sign up for to get enough points for first class tickets, preferably round trip tickets? Any cards that offer points that you can combine with others?

How would you do that? Looking at United (just as an example) their business class saver tickets from US to SE Asia start at 75,000 each way. You'd need 300,000 miles for roundtrip travel for two. Even 150,000 for each person by signing up for their own card would be tough unless I'm missing some secret hack to get it done.

I would say your best bet would be booking ANA first class using virgin atlantic points.

Virgin Atlantic are transfer parters of Amex and SPG.

Both husband and wife sign up for Amex Plat and get 100k points (this may be a little diffcult), then maybe the SPG card. Boom that enough points for 2 RT first class tix to asia.

You may not even need to do the SPG if Amex MR is having a transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic when you want to book.

Edit: Take a look at the awardhacker.com website for more ideas on how to get there w points and miles.

How? Apporama Smilie It's gonna be a lot of CCards but it's definitely possible. Personally I don't think it would be worth it but to each their own.
