Seems like a solid deal for a second car or someone who uses public transportation. 10,000 miles per year is probably not enough for most people.

10000 is usually enough for Ev's and to go to 12k per year is only 1% of msrp ~ $350 ($11/mo) with a few options.

It scored a Good side crash rating from the IIHS.

My girlfriend has a gasoline 2013 500 and we hit a big buck at 55-60mph and the car was damaged but overall mostly fine. No problems driving it home and then to a body shop the next day. Nowhere near the force of an SUV @ 45 but I was still pretty impressed for a car that size.

It's not that bad. It's a great deal and you can definitely put 16k miles a year on this thing if you have a 50-70 mile commute to work.

Probably 20 times that of any motorcycle plus much less likely to be t-boned because it's many times more visible.

Other than Tesla and Chevy Bolt, most EV have fairly low driving range. Fiat 500e is no different. It has 87 miles of range which can be used only up to 75 miles because you don't want to fully deplete the battery and stranded. Also, it takes few hours to charge the battery.
So, you can not drive EV too much. The mileage limits should be the last thing to concern.

$99 a month with $2,500 total drive off, seems very good deal, but I am more concerned with the reliability of Fiat. It is notoriously bad.

or better question: How many times less likely are you to die in a solo crash in this EV vs an SUV?
