Eligible for 10% off with PGIFTS10 coupon, and 10% ebay bucks if you have a qualifying account. Comes to $479.99 after coupon, and still showing $53 ebay bucks back to me, for less than $420 net.

Super tempting. Definitely slick. TU.

For those wondering, refurb has 90 day warranty. Seller notes condition as: "Monitor Manufacturer Refurbished - Some monitors have minor scratches on frame /and or base but none on the screen monitor."

no 144hz, G-Sync and freesync? clearly that makes this a useless product.
Hard to tell if you're joking, but those are all technologies geared toward gamers. This is a professional-oriented monitor with an emphasis on color accuracy. Different segments of the market.

Sounds awesome! Super tempting indeed. Amazon sells 2 versions of this monitor: with sRGB and Adobe RGB color spaces (not sure what that means: I though Adobe RGB is really big and doesn't fit into modern monitors?). Anyway, couldn't find detailed spec in this one, what color space it has. Any thoughts?

Amazon seems to list the Adobe RGB color space monitor as the PA329Q and sRGB as PA328Q.
The Asus website doesn't seem to specify a difference.

I'd wager this is the older model that doesn't support the Adobe RGB color space.

"On top of the IPS display, the PA328Q comes with a factory pre-calibrated perfect color accuracy of 100% on the sRGB scale and pretties this up even further with full Rec. 709 color support."

He is right. This monitor has non of these features and it makes this monitor overpriced. Why not just buy a ultrawide which would be better? There are many ultrawides available in this price range...such as the LG 34' IPS ultrawide that was availabe recently for about $500 and that one even has freesync.
For some uses and users, a 4K display has a lot of appeal and value. That coupled with a good IPS panel and color accuracy, you'd would be highly unlikely to find anything around this price point with higher refresh rates or sync technologies.
Only catch on this one for me is that it is refurbished. But that's not really a huge deal.

Was tempted to buy, but these differences comparing it to the PA329Q, kills it for me
For example this one only has 77% Adobe RGB vs PA329Q which has 99.5% Adobe RGB, even though, both have 100% sRGB. Other differences are that this one is 12-Bit LUT while the other is 14-bit LUT, also 5 ms and this one 6 ms response time, anyways none of this matter to me, only the Adobe RGB % difference Frown

Those are all "gaming" features and ultra wide is better for side views in gaming. This monitor is for productivity and has a better aspect ratio for more productive workspace than a 34".

This...

Ultrawide with 1440 height is hard to work with photos...mine is 30" Ultrasharp at 1600 for height but once had LG 29" Ultrawide but ended up returning it as it was very difficult to work on any headshots when the photos were vertical.
