I have the Cryo 2 and wish I bought the 1. The 2 is a little too large for me as an every day carry. I still like it though.

Here's a smart link to decent, brief write up on a forum comparing the 2. General consensus is that the 1 is preferred and I tend to agree.

I have ~10 Kershaw knives. Had many over the years, FWIW - this is my favorite. Can't go wrong here.

This is my favorite budget knife. Looks cool, the flipper is awesome and snaps open quickly, and cuts well. I do have to hone often to keep it really sharp-I guess that's the cheap steel. Considering grabbing a backup at this price.

An excellent little assisted opener knife which is a no brainier at this price and really demonstrates the greatest strengths of Kershaw.
Inexpensive knives and a company whose immense size gives them the ability to mass produce knives and meet almost any level of consumer budget but still maintain quality which draws the best of the best blade designers.
Here, for example, the Cryro was designed by Rick Hinderer whose personal line of knives are far out of the reach of the average consumer, yet, with Kershaw, he can reach tens of thousands of consumers that he wouldn't otherwise be able to do so given his blades start at $300 easy.

It's not going to ever be the same level of materials and hours and hours of hand labor spent in polishing the blades under his personal label but the Cryro still has an excellent design and was so designed with less expensive metals in mind, their strengths and weaknesses alike.
