The Weber one is much better made. I used to kill the WM ones every 2-3 years. My Weber is 10 this year and I use it even more frequently than the WM one. The metal has enough fatigue that I would have gladly replaced for $8. You also get a handy heat shield and a wire 2nd handle to help deposit coals easier. I have no precise data to prove it, but I feel like the Weber gets your coals ready a few minutes faster, too. It's easily worth 2x the cost of WM's chimney.

Aldi also sells a chimney in the summer. It's like a hybrid between the WM shape with a heat shield similar to Weber's. I think I paid $6 for it. It works decent enough that I'm not pressed to replace my Weber one, which now sees little use as my 2nd chimney when doing large cooks.
