BLACK+DECKER LCS1240 40V MAX Lithium Ion Chainsaw, 12" $91 @ Amazon

$91.00

Amazon [amazon.com] has the BLACK+DECKER LCS1240 40V MAX Lithium Ion Chainsaw, 12" for $91 with free shipping.

This is the lowest price ever by quite a significant amount according to CCC. ~$105 was the last low price with an average price of $154.

Great deal on a decent light duty battery operated chainsaw! I own one of these.

Just bought one for delivery tomorrow! Newbie here, since the oil on Amazon won't be delivered until Tuesday, I opted out getting it together, so I have a question, are all of the oil the same as long as it says Chainsaw Bar and Chain? And I can just grab it at Walmart?

Thanks! Not as cheap as BF 2016, but still $40 less than the last 3 months, and $80 less than it was before that.

Any old bar and chain oil is fine. I even throw 10w 30 in mine. Just to keep the chain wet.

Yup.
I've got one and bought my son one. The only problem I've had was misplacing the charger, it's SMALL.

I have the 20V and have been very happy with it for general use around the property. So much easier than gas for small jobs.

General question: I'm looking to start buying battery powered tools. I feel like I have to commit to a brand- I assume the batteries can only be used with same brand.
Am I correct??
Anybody want to weigh in if there is a particular line that's best overall- worx, ego, Ryobi, black and Decker, etc???
Thanks

Not so slick being $97 at Wal-Mart all day long...

EDIT: Was confusing this as the BLACK+DECKER LCS1020 20V MAX 10" Lithium-Ion Chainsaw

Link? I see $129.99 [walmart.com] and $135.37 [walmart.com] on their site.

Unless of course you're trying to compare this deal to the 20V version [walmart.com], which is listed at $98...

EDIT: Saw you corrected yourself as I was posting laugh out loud

Maybe you should look before you leap... or in this case know your facts before you comment on the "non slickness" of a deal.

Here battery is 40V but most hand tools are 18-24V and need different type of battery. Many say makita, Bosch and dewalt are top. I have ryobi combo that I bought here, it's good for home tasks.
