After owning this setup for 2 weeks , i can recommend it ,
easy setup, games are amazing especially Elite Dangerous.

Tracking works very well , headset ultra comfortable. Headphones on headset are awesome
touch controllers make hand movements much better than vive

Steam integration works perfectly.

Unless you have a huge room like 15x15 then get a vive, or just spend 60 bucks on a 3rd sensor from oculus

If you have an older e bates account, check it online not through phone app and see if you have. $50 credit offer for Microsoft store, and if so click through them and buy this for net of $300 from Microsoft.

How big of an area do you need? Don't you just sit down when you have these on?

Damn dude. I saw the Microsoft deal yesterday but was waiting for Amazon. Didn't know about this though and I had the offer. Pulled the trigger. Thanks.

No. There's different VR sets that doesn't have roomscale. But these are interactive with the touch controllers so you can shoot guns and whatnot.

Depends on the games your playing. Most games that use the touch controllers are room scale, and I'd recommend at least a 4x6ft area. Some games you can do either roomscale or sitting but it feels more natural with roomscale.

Ya, I didn't get into details, but this Microsoft deal, you can also use Microsoft Gift Cards bought at 20+% discount if you would so choose, which would bring the Rift price down to a rediculous $230. I choose not to use the Gift Cards, so I can keep the Credit Card protections.

How does the Rift compare to the Samsung Odessey? Has anyone played both?

As a computer part can this be returned if my machine is not capable of high enough FPS?

I heard with borderline specs the low FPS rate causes issues with nausea.

I've seen people saying a 1050 can run it decently but depends on the game.

Crypto mining has killed graphics card deals.
