The difference between these two monitors are:

1) IPS vs. TN

2) 4ms vs 1ms

Dell is good however TN has the poor color reproduction and bad viewing angles. If you sit in the middle of the screen then you should have no problem with viewing angles. Asus IPS have better color reproduction and viewing angles. I heard the Asus monitor have QC issues such as IPS glow and backlight bleed.

Every IPS has IPS Glow... It is unavoidable. As for the back-light bleed... Yes, yes they do. I wen't through 3 of them from Amazon (still have it) before I was happy. The one I am currently using still has a tiny amount of bleed in the bottom left corner just above the task bar in Windows (thankfully its not noticeable). I ended up keeping mine because Amazon didn't want to deal with another RMA and they gave me 20% off. I paid $559 with tax after the discount Wink

This is a fantastic monitor. Perfect size so no need for DPI scaling. Color accuracy is great and it allows me to Game and still do Content Creation (I run a dual monitor setup with an Asus PB258Q that I typically use for design). Gaming on this thing is amazing. I owned the Dell S2716DGR (best buy) prior to this one.... I returned the S2716DG after 24 hours due to poor color performance, banding issues, and the "sleep" issues.

Have no regrets about this one. Worth every penny.
