$100 less than Black Friday. Includes pen at $799 which no other bundle includes. Has Costco warranty to top it off.

Debating this and $1149 model with 8gb/alcantara. Surface Pro is likely not my daily driver so giving consideration to this deal. Thanks for posting OP.

Title needs editing to include 4gb ram. Save some clicks.

Its always the 4gb!

I too wish this had 8gb. But... I was at the MS store in San Diego. I played around with a 4gb i5 Surface Pro. I ran 7 YouTube videos spread across 4 browser windows, One note open, Windows store open, and Paint. System was using about 3.6gb memory of the 3.9gb available and cpu usage was 35-38%. I was impressed. I would argue that this isn't typical usage. I still prefer 8gb, but damn this 4gb machine could handle a lot.

not really upgraded memory ( it is do-able according to ifixit, but wouldn't recommend trying)
and warranty will be voided if doing so

Do I buy this or not? I'm torn because I'm going to be upgrading from a Surface 3 which has 64 GB and 2 Gigs of ram. I didn't realize that (novice mistake) at the time.
